Harold Dee was such a good friend to my parents, Harold and Theda Minter. He and Venita meant so much to them. We just visited with him at mother's funeral visitation on May 13th. The Minter family sends our heartfelt condolences to the family. I know that mother and daddy were there to greet Harold Dee with open arms and can just here them now laughing, catching up on all the news and drinking a cold Coke!

We are very sad to hear this news. Mr. Harold will be truly missed by many. We met Mr. Harold back in 2005 when hurricane Rita hit. We evacuated to Wanda Chenney's house in Annona. She is our Aunt and Brenda is our cousin. Andy did some work on the barn for Mr. Harold and Mr. Harold gave him some catfish bait and brought him fishing and he gave me a rolling pin that he made out of solid oak (which I treasure very much) to make Andy some Chicken and dumplings with. Ms. Venita found out Andy loves chicken and dumplings so she made him some while we were up there. We ended up staying up there for about two weeks. They didn't want us to leave from up there and the feeling was just as mutual. We fell in love with them also. Mr. Harold had already found Andy some more work people needed form the hurricane. They were both really great people and are both in our hearts forever. We love you Mr. Harold and Ms. Venita. We both know what the family is going through as we have both lost our dad's. If there is anything at all we can do, please feel free to contact us. You have our deepest sympathy. May God bless you and be with you all through this very emotional times.
