Obituary of Eugene Lord

Eugene D. Lord, 75, went into the presence of Jesus November 6, 2017 after battling the damage of chemotherapy. He dedicated his life to serving his Lord and Savior by freely giving his time and talents to the needs of others. He was a member of Abundant Life First Assembly of God Church in Clarksville where he served as a Trustee. Eugene served in the Navy where he trained as a diesel mechanic. He retired as a mechanic, excavator, and trucker. He was born In Bitely, Michigan September 27, 1942.

He leaves to celebrate his life and devotion his beloved wife Cindy, children: DaVeena, Lenny, Pamela, Travis, Tracy, Adriana, Randy, Kimberly, beloved granddaughter, Destiny, and fifteen other grandchildren who were special to his heart. His sisters, Trudy, Irallee, and Sharon cherish the memories of their only brother. His lifelong, best friend, Jerry Graves (Wanda), cousin Stan Lord (Colleen), and devoted friend, Jake Yoakum, were like special brothers to Eugene. He leaves to fondly remember him several nieces and nephews. Celebrate his giving, loving, kind, and gentle life – a saint of God has gone home.

Visitation will be Thursday at Clarksville Funeral Home from 6:00 until 7:00 PM. Funeral Services, officiate by Pastor Donald Peek, will be at Abundant Life First Assembly Of God Church, 838 U.S. HWY 82 East, Clarksville, Texas, at 2:00 PM Friday, November 10, 2017.
