Obituary of Richard Long

Richard Long, age 74, of Detroit, passed away, Friday, October 27, 2017, in Dallas.

Richard was born February 23, 1943, in Clarksville to Houston and Lorene Louis Long.  Richard loved hunting and spending time with his kids and grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Beverly Long and two sisters, Peggy Rodgers and Shirley McCoy.

The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Clarksville Funeral Home.

Graveside services are 4:00 p.m. Monday, October 30, 2017, at Detroit Cemetery with Rev. Don Shovan officiating.  Burial is under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home.

Richard is survived by his 3 sons, Steven Long and wife, Kay of Detroit, Mike Long and wife, Lisa of Paris and Paul Long and wife, Natilee of Detroit; his sister, Wanda Whitley of Detroit; 2 brothers, James long and Mark long both of Detroit; his brother-in-law Dean McCoy and numerous grandchildren.
