Obituary of Opal Lee Holder

Opal Lee Holder, age 85, of Allen, and formerly of Avery, passed away, Thursday, September 23, 2010, at Belmont Assisted Living in Allen. Mrs. Holder was born to Tom and Laura Bell Denison Crawford on January 5, 1925, in Avery. She was a homemaker and of the Christian faith. Her husband, Ocie Holder; a granddaughter, Shelia; three sisters, Mary Bell, Ruby and Joyce; and a brother, Jeff preceded her in death. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Sunday, September 26, 2010, in Lindeman Chapel of Clarksville Funeral Home with Rev. Jimm Blagrave II officiating. Burial will follow in Avery Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home. The family will receive friends an hour before service time at the funeral home. Pallbearers are Alan Holder, Brian Bemis, Doug Bemis, Jimm Blagrave II and Mike Farmer. Survivors include three sons, James Holder and wife Glenice of Marshall, Gerald Holder and wife Toni of Ore City and Don Holder of Ore City; one daughter, Annette Blagrave and husband Jimm of Frisco; two sisters, Hazell Tidwell of Simms and Jewel Tidwell of McKinney; and eleven grandchildren.
