I am so sorry to hear of Johnny's death. He was a part of my cherished memories of Clarksville High School when we were young. I was always so happy to see him whenever our paths crossed in life. You all have my deepest sympathy. God's grace is sufficient! ❤

So sorry for the loss of your family and friend. I was a student of Mr. Holley's in the early 1990's and he was always very kind to me. I pray God's comfort and peace over your whole family. May God hold each and every one of you in His unchanging hand during this time. God Bless you.

Prayers out to the family. I enjoyed Mr. Holley's classes during my high school years. Especially when I think about quitting cigarettes, I can still see him with a piece of chalk in his hand while he was trying to stop. He held it like a cigarette. But seriously, rest in peace, you are fondly remembered.

One of the true "characters of Clarksville". Enjoyed him as a teacher at CHS and a golfer of CCC. RIP Mr. Holley.

I was sent Johnny's obituary by my niece who lives in Clarksville. As I read it, I realized that his parents were Margaret and Skeet Holley. I knew them years ago because my mom, Vivian Holley Isbell, was Skeet's cousin. My granddad was Jim Holley. I remember seeing Margaret and Skeet often when I was a child because my grandparents and other relatives lived in Clarksville. I remember going to the little Methodist Church in Peters Prairie and seeing Skeet lead the singing there some. We still visit Clarksville because I have a farm on Peters Prairie. I wish I had known Johnny; he sounds like a very special person. My condolences to the family. Glenda Jones
