Obituary of Lawanda Robison

Lawanda Robison, age 77, of Avery passed away, Sunday, June 04, 2017, at Wadley Hospital in Texarkana.  Mrs. Robison was born, March 5, 1940, in Avery to Ernest and Edith Martindale Harrison.  She was preceded in death by a sister, Avella Wages.  Lawanda was very active and a faithful member of the Avery Missionary Baptist Church.   She loved singing in the church choir and was a loving mother and grandmother.  She married Horace Robison on October 27, 1954.

 Funeral services are set for 2:30 p.m., Wednesday, June 7, 2017, at the Avery Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Roddy Jackson officiating.  Burial will follow in Avery Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends Tuesday night from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Clarksville Funeral Home.

 Pallbearers are Mark Nicks, Tilmon Deaton, Mark Megason, Glenn Woods, Kenny Woods and Sammy Lambert.

 Honorary pallbearers are Terry Burkett and Davis Boyce.

Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Horace Robison of Avery; 2 daughters, Teresa Gandy and husband, Rick of Avery and Tammy Putteet and husband Connie Mack of Avery; 1 brother, Ernest Howland Harrison, Jr. of Paris; 1 sister, Clara Caldwell of Avery; 5 grandchildren, Stephanie Peek, Derrick Gandy, Dillon Gandy, Brad Putteet and Walt Putteet; and 6 great grandchildren.
