Obituary of Helen Louise Preston

Helen Louise Gordon Preston, age 93, of Austin, passed away, September 17, 2010, at her residence. She was a retired teacher. She was born in Dallas on January 11, 1917 to Ira and Bettie Terry Gordon. She was of the Methodist faith. Her husband, Robert E. Preston and two brothers, Lloyd and Clovis Gordon preceded her in death. Graveside services were 3:30 p.m. Saturday, September 18, 2010, at Lanes Chapel Cemetery with Rev. Jerry Colgrove officiating. Services were under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home. Survivors include her son, Eugene Preston and wife Cheryl of Austin; her granddaughters, Dr. Johanna Daugherty and husband Patrick of Phoenix, Arizona and Louisa Roux and husband Jaysun of Austin; and her brother, John Terry Gordon.
