Obituary of Bettye Jean Sheppard

Bettye J. Sheppard, age 82, of Dallas, passed away, Thursday, January 19, 2017, at her residence. Bettye, or known as “Mimi” to her grandchildren, was a loving mother and grandmother, who had an unconditional love for all of her family. Mrs. Sheppard was born, August 12, 1934, in Clarksville to Roy and Ruth Jarrett Bray. She graduated from Annona High School and was of the Baptist faith. She married Storey Sheppard on December 30, 1954. He preceded her in death along with her sisters, Eulala Roberts and Ann Tackett; and her brothers, Lawrence, J.W., Roger, Pat and Bob Bray. Memorial services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m., Friday, January 27, 2017, in Lindeman Chapel of Clarksville Funeral Home with Rev. James Brown officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Friday at Clarksville Funeral Home. Survivors that have filled her heart with a special love and was so blessed to have include 2 sons, Storey Markcus Sheppard of Carrollton and Kerry Michael Sheppard and wife, Debra of Brownwood; 4 grandchildren, Michael Sheppard, Staci Madsen, Jeff Sheppard and Mallory Griffith; 5 great grandchildren, Torrance, Bailey, Wyatt, Marie and Levi.
