Obituary of Marcell Atlas Cross

Marcell A. Cross, age 90, of Clarksville, passed away, Thursday, July 22, 2010, at ETMC Tyler. Mr. Cross was born in Red River County January 14, 1920, to Albert and Ida Altom Cross. He retired from the Red River Army Depot, served in the U.S. Army and attended the Lone Star Methodist Church. His parents; an infant son; four sisters; and one brother preceded him in death. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Sunday, July 25, 2010 in Lindeman Chapel of Clarksville Funeral Home with Rev. Don Shovan officiating. Burial will follow in English Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home. The family will receive friends an hour before service time at the funeral home. Survivors include his wife, Christine Bolton Cross of Clarksville; a son, Rodney Cross of Clarksville; a sister, Dorothy Moore of Lubbock; and several nieces and nephews. Serving as Pallbearers are Britt Holley, Bob Ward, Michael Bolton, Chad Bolton, Wayne Bolton, Shane Bolton, Gary Phillips and Jim Cross. Honorary Pallbearers will be the men of the Lone Star Church.
