Obituary of James L. Jamison

James L. “Jimmy” Jamison, age 84, of Clarksville, passed away Wednesday, July 14, 2010, at Crescent Senior Care in Weatherford, Texas. Jimmy was born February 19, 1926, in Clarksville, Texas, to William D. “Doak” and Tillie Jamison. He was retired from his business as a painting contractor. He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing and woodworking. He devoted his life to his family and helping others. He served in the Navy and was proud to be a veteran. His parents, sisters Lucille Goodson and Dorothy Melton, and beloved wife Juanita preceded him in death. Survivors include a daughter, Jane Westbrook of Weatherford; a son, Bill Jamison and wife Via of Mabank; a sister, Mary Hutchison of Clarksville; a brother, William (Bill) Jamison of Pottsboro; spouse, Eveline Jamison of Clarksville; five grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Friday, July 16, 2010, in Lindeman Chapel of Clarksville Funeral Home with Steve Marx officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home. The family will receive friends Thursday night from 7 to 8:30 at Clarksville Funeral Home. Serving as Pallbearers are Don Eudy, James Bills, Billy Mitchell, Jim Emery, Jim Westbrook and Johnny Drew. Honorary Pallbearers are Billy Sam Allen and Perry O’Brien.
