Obituary of Darel D. Wages

Darrel D. Wages, age 78, of Dallas and formerly of Avery, passed away Thursday, November 26, 2009, at the V.A. Hospital in Dallas. Mr. Wages was born October 1, 1931 in Avery to Airris and Leola Lewis Wages. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Avella Harrison Wages. Survivors include 2 sons, Ernest Wages and wife Gwen of Mesquite and Terry Wages and wife Peggy of Terrell; a brother, Don Wages of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; 3 grandchildren; and 2 great grandchildren. Graveside services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Monday, November 30, 2009 at Avery Cemetery with Rev. Rick Gandy officiating. Internment will follow under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home.
