Obituary of Robert L. Adair

Robert L. “Bob” Adair, age 82, of Bogata, Texas, passed away, Sunday, May 30, 2010, at Regency Nursing Center in Clarksville. Mr. Adair was born June 18, 1927, in Byers, Texas to John L. and Verna Owens Adair. He served in the U. S. Navy during WWII, was a rancher in Red River County and a member of the First Presbyterian Church. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Alice Joyce Adair; and two sisters, Lunie Flemming and Edith Flemming. Survivors include his daughter, Donna Robinson of Clarksville; his son Gerry Allen and wife, Betty Sue of Mt. Vernon; grandsons, Aaron Robinson and wife Dee of Clarksville and Randy Allen and wife Lisa of Hobbs, N,M.; great granddaughter, Sydney Allen; great grandson, Jace Robinson; sister, Laverne Heinberger of Andrews; brothers, Ted Adair of Graham, Harlon Adair of Waurika, Oklahoma and K. W. Adair of Durant, Oklahoma; a brother in law, Steve Fowler and wife Abby of Duncan, South Carolina; several nieces, nephews and many friends. The family will receive friends Tuesday night from 6 to 8 at the funeral home. Funeral services are set for 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 2 in First Presbyterian Church with Rev. Ed Dodson officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home. Serving as Pallbearers are Aaron Robinson, Randy Allen, Mark Whitehouse, Dusty Burks, Paul Allen and Robin Bland. Honorary Pallbearers are Bill Chapman, Jim Clark V, Jim Clark VI, Frank Rhoades, Dick Wren and Jim Ward.
