Obituary of Johnnie Mae Drew

Johnnie Mae Drew, age 93, of Clarksville, passed away, Tuesday, March 30, 2010, at Regency Healthcare Center. Mrs. Drew was born October 7, 1916 in Pittsburg to Horace and Ethel Efurd Bullard. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church. Her husband, Mr. O.D. Drew preceded her in death along with two grandsons Glenn Drew and Ryan Drew. Funeral services for Mrs. Drew are 2:30 p.m. Thursday, April 1, 2010, in Lindeman Chapel of Clarksville Funeral Home with Rev. Mark Gossett officiating. Burial will follow in Aikin Grove Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home. The family will receive friends Thursday from 1:30 until service time at Clarksville Funeral Home. Pallbearers are Dick McCarver, Don Eudy, Scotty Humphrey, Andrew Greutman, Kent Haddock, Jeff Schrader and Tommy VanDeaver. Honorary Pallbearers are Billy Sam Allen, Billie Mauldin, Bill Pylant, George Giddens, Olen Douglas, Ernest Witmer and the Board members of the Red River County Soil and Water Conservation District. Survivors include her son, Johnny Drew and wife Marleah of Clarksville; her grandson, Stevie Drew and wife Sonya of Clarksville; and her great grandchildren, Sarah, Abby, Jack, Morgan, Meagan and Cody Drew. She was preceded in death by her husband O. D. Drew and two grandsons Glenn and Ryan Drew. Memorials may be made in Mrs. Drew’s name to the Aikin Grove Cemetery Association, C/O Sally Reed, 1205 W. Jackson, Clarksville, Texas 75426.
