Obituary of Dan Settoon

Dan “The Cajun” Settoon, of the Negley Community, passed away, Monday, March 15, 2010, at ETMC Tyler. Dan was born November 8, 1949 to Eric Bryant and Elma Hummel Settoon. He was the owner of Dance-a-Toon Fish Farm North of Clarksville. Years ago, Dan came here to visit a friend, Dan Lee. He liked the area and people so much that he moved here to retire. Well, that never happened, he was always into something. First came the Fish Farm and that led to other endeavors. He never met anyone that he didn’t make a friend. He always had a minute to talk or lend a helping hand. He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Wendy Lee Settoon. He is survived by his wife, Emily Arnouville Settoon. Survivors include four sisters including Penny Brooks and husband Brian of Montgomery, Texas. Graveside services are scheduled for Friday, March 19, 2010, at 10:00 a.m.. under the pavilion at Tuggle Springs Cemetery with Rev. Ronnie Kellam officiating under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home. The family will receive friends Thursday night from 6 to 8 at Clarksville Funeral Home. Honorary Pallbearers are Robert Guinn, Donnie Guinn, Rusty Ross, Jerry McClure, Eugene Mooney, Ed Bordner, Jonnie Johnson, Brian Brooks and Drew Phillips.
