Obituary of Wanda Genola Payne

Wanda Genola Gortney Payne, age 76, of Lubbock, formerly of Avery, passed away, December 28, 2012, in Lubbock. Mrs. Payne was born in Avery on July 16, 1936, to Will and Susie Parmley Gortney. She was preceded in death by her husband, Garry Payne ; 1 sister; and 3 brothers. Survivors include her son, James Roberts of Booker; her daughters, Wanda Sue Holegin of Pheonix, Airizona and Nona Lee Howell of Lubbock; 8 grandchildren; and 6 great grandchildren. Her cremains will be buried at Pine Springs Cemetery. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home.
