Obituary of Fred Black

Fred Warren Black, age 58, of Annona, passed away Tuesday, December 18, 2012, at his residence. Fred was born January 20, 1954, in Annona to Douglas and Dorothy Jones Black. He owned his own house painting business for over 35 years. He loved fishing, gardening and wasn’t afraid of working. He was preceded in death by his father. Graveside services are set for 1:00 p.m., Friday, December 21, 2012, at Savannah Cemetery. Burial will follow under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home. Pallbearers are Ben Garrett, B.J. Garrett, David Peek, Tommy Hall, Shane Garrett and Austin Hall. The family will receive friends Thursday night from 6 to 8, at Clarksville Funeral Home. Survivors include his wife, Janice Sue Garrett Black of Annona; his mother, Dorothy Black of Avery; two sons, Kevin Black and Jason Black; a step-daughter, Lisa Whitfield and husband Tommy of Avery; his sister, Kathy McClanahan of Avery; and 2 brothers, Marvin Black and wife Phillis of Avery and Tommy Black.
