Obituary of Wayne Parks

Wayne Parks age 93, of Clarksville, passed away, Tuesday, October 09, 2012, at Regency Nursing Center. Mr. Parks was born in the Aikin Grove Community of Red River County on May 17, 1919, to Eugene and Elizabeth Wolfe Parks. He was a member of the First Baptist Church and served in the Army-Air Corps during WWII. He retired from the Red River Army Depot. He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers, and 1 sister. Graveside services are 3:30 p.m., Wednesday, October 10, 2012, at Fairview Cemetery with Rev. Tracy Williams officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home. Survivors include his wife, Helen Parks of Clarksville; a son, Jack Parks of Clarksville; a daughter, Suzanne Parks of Clarksville; his grandchildren, Camille Hines and husband Dale of Clarksville and Amber Davis and husband Shane of Avery; 3 great grandchildren, Ashley Hines, Hannah Davis and Sara Davis.
