Obituary of Gene L. Dean

Gene L. Dean, age 65, of Annona, passed away Saturday, September 1, 2012, at his residence. Mr. Dean was born November 8, 1946, in Red River County to Josh and Linda Krouser Dean. He served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam and was retired from the Red River Army Depot. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Sherry Dean; 2 brothers; and 2 sisters. Survivors include his dear friend, Sissi Thomas; 1 daughter, Daffney Dean of Valliant, Oklahoma; 4 sisters, Inell Dean of Annona, Shirley Bennett of Witchia Falls, Pauline Meister of Annona and Jo Eddie Rodriguez of Garland; 3 brothers, David Dean of Annona, Josh Dean, Jr. of Avery and Jimmy Dean of Idabel, Oklahoma; and his grandchildren, Ronnie Dean, Willie Cody and Waylon Cody. Graveside services are set for 2: p.m., Wednesday, September 5, 2012, in Garland Cemetery with Rev. James Brown officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home.
