Obituary of Polly Kennedy Potter

Polly Kennedy Potter, age 76, of Avery, passed away Sunday, August 26, 2012. Mrs. Potter was born February 26, 1936, in Avery to Onis and Ruth Holder Kennedy. She was a member of Gravel Hill Baptist Church. Her brother, Carlton Kennedy preceded her in death. Funeral services are set for 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 29, 2012, in Lindeman Chapel of Clarksville Funeral Home with Rev. H.D. “Deanie” Lambert and Rev. Sam Yancy officiating. Burial will follow in Avery Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home. The family will receive friends Tuesday night from 6 to 7 at Clarksville Funeral Home. Survivors include her husband, Richard Potter of Avery; 2 daughters, Darla Grissom of Duncanville and Shannon Kent of Franklin, North Carolina; 5 sisters, Geneva Spradling of Hooks, Brenda Howland of Avery, Helen Rogers of Nash, Joan Audas of Avery and Paula Kennedy of Avery; and 1 brother, James Kennedy of Avery.
