Obituary of Janice Thompson Long

Janice Kay Thompson Long, age 55, of Clarksville, passed away Friday, August 10, 2012, at ETMC Clarksville. Janice was born February 19, 1957, in Dallas to Earl and Jana Henderson Thompson. She was a member of the Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church and worked for J & L Mart in Clarksville. She was preceded in death by her mother. Funeral services are 10:00 a.m., Monday, August 13, 2012, in Lindeman Chapel of Clarksville Funeral Home with Rev. Ronnie Kellam officiating. Burial will follow in Hopewell Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home. The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon from 4 to 6 at Clarksville Funeral Home. Pallbearers are Alan Thompson, Jimmy Thompson, Justin Dilbeck, Jeffery Thompson, Butch Thompson and Wesley Thompson. Survivors include her husband, Joe Long of Clarksville; her father, Earl Thompson of Clarksville; a son, Jeff Thompson of Clarksville; a daughter, Kaylee Hamilton of Clarksville; 3 grandchildren, London, Lylith and Brygit; 2 brothers, Jimmy Thompson and wife Shelly of Carlisle, Pennsylvania and Alan Thompson and wife Lauri of Beaumont.
