Obituary of Ruby Lee Manning Peek

Ruby Lee Manning Peek, age 92, of Annona, passed away, Saturday, March 13, 2010 at ETMC Tyler. Mrs. Peek married Lewis Peek on June 21, 1936. He preceded her in death, April 21, 1990. Mrs. Peek was born May 5, 1917 in Madill, Oklahoma to Robert Pearl and Cordia June Bass Manning. She loved to read, an avid gardener and was of the Baptist faith. The joy of her life was her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Graveside services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 16, 2010 at Avery Cemetery with Rev. Deanie Lambert and Rev. James Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Avery Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home. Serving as Honorary Pallbearers are Bill Peek, Rev. Deanie Lambert, Ben Peek, Larry Taylor, Dee Taylor and Jerry Peek. Survivors include a son, Lewis E. Peek and wife Barbara of Tye; a daughter, Fran Reed and husband Jimmy of Clarksville; her grandchildren, Bruce Peek and wife Dorothy, Larry Peek and wife Laura, Marissa Cook, Christy Peek, Terry Reed and wife Susan and Michael Reed and wife Amanda; her great grandchildren, Hope Sims, Madison and Garrett Reed, Candice Bellamy, James, Matthew and Andrea Peek; her great-great grandchildren, Cloe Peek and Triston and Bry Bellamy. The family will be at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy Reed, 804 W. 10th St. in Clarksville.
