Obituary of Mary Jo Young

Mary Jo Young, age 84, of Clarksville, passed away Wednesday, July 11, 2012, at her residence. Mrs. Young was born July 9, 1928, in Detroit, Texas to Benjamin Franklin and Lillie Belle Lamb Clack. She was a longtime member of McKenzie Memorial United Methodist Church. She loved her family, her friends and was very active in her church. Mrs. Young retired from ETMC Clarksville. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Young on October 14, 2009; a son, David Young; 2 brothers, Billy Sunday Clack and John Ivan Clack; and 1 sister, Bennie Bee Plant. Funeral services are set for 10:00 a.m., Friday, July 13, 2012, at the McKenzie Memorial United Methodist Church with Tom Young and Rev. Jerry Colgrove officiating. Burial will follow in Detroit Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home. Pallbearers are Karie Giles, Matt Young, Brad Hardt, Chris Young, Jared Brannan and Ryan Byrd. The family will receive friends Thursday night from 6 to 7 at Clarksville Funeral Home. Survivors include her sons, Tom Young and wife, Debbie of Sulphur Springs and Steve Young and wife, Kari of Grand Prairie; her daughters, Cheryl Hardt of Flower Mound, Lori Byrd and husband, Eddie of Clarksville and Jill Brannan and husband, Chuck of Clarksville; her grandchildren, Matt Young, Jessica Erdmeir, Kathleen Young, Brad Hardt, Crystal King, Trina Young, Karie Giles, Ryan Byrd, Chris Young, Katye Young and Jared Brannan; and 14 great grandchildren. 1 Sister Ana Bel Bartley Memorials may be made to the McKenzie Memorial United Methodist Chruch at 1809 S.
