Obituary of Lila Mae Crook
Lila Mae Crook, age 101, of Clarksville, passed away, Monday, February 22, 2010, at Regency Healthcare and Rehab in Clarksville.
The family will receive friends Friday, February 26, 2010 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Clarksville Funeral Home.
Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 27, 2010, in Lindeman Chapel of Clarksville Funeral Home with Rev. James Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Tuggle Springs Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home.
Pallbearers are Michael Crook, Mike Haywood, Tommy Joplin, Jimmy Crook, Selwyn Zeliff, and Shane Joplin.
Honorary Pallbearers are Jeff Joplin, Victor “Chip” Zeliff and Earl “Butch” Zeliff.
Mrs. Crook was born January 7, 1909 in Childress to Frank W. and Emmie Crook. She was an avid reader, quilt maker and enjoyed her vacations to California to visit her family.
Mrs. Crook was preceded in death by her parents; her siblings, Freeman Cook, Cecil Clifford “Dub” Crook, Ruby Joplin, Mamie “ Tot” Zeliff, Leslie “Jack” Crook, Bennett Earl “Red” Crook and Jessie Nolan.
Survivors include a son, Jackie “Dick” Crook and wife Melinda; two grandchildren, Michelle Hayward and husband Mike, Michael Crook and wife Diana, one great-grandchild, Nathaniel Cooper; one brother, Leonard “Blunt” Crook; and many nieces and nephews.
