Obituary of Carol Flippo Maple

Carol Jean Flippo Maple, age 71, of Detroit, Texas died May 2, 2012 at her residence. Mrs. Maple was born July 13, 1940, in Detroit to Hansford and Edith Lucille Wright Flippo. She retired as a bookkeeper from WePack in Paris and was of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by 4 sisters, LaBerta Foster, Electra Milam, Inez Doudney and Dorothy Ritchey; and 2 brothers, Darrell Flippo and Jack Flippo. Graveside services are set for 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 5, 2012, at the Bluff Cemetery in Detroit, with Bro. Mark Ritchey officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home. The family will receive friends Friday night from 6 to 8 at Clarksville Funeral Home. Honorary Pallbearers are Neil Ritchey, Wayne Doudney, John Foster, Glen Foster, Keith Foster, Michael Flippo and Bro. Mark Ritchey. Survivors include her son, Stan Maple, Jr. of Bedford; her daughter, Jill Maple Mackley and husband Steve of North Platte, Nebraska; 6 grandchildren, Steffany Maple, Nichole Smith, Luci Werkmeister, Chris Werkmeister, Mikey Werkmeister and Haiden Mackley; and 5 great grandchildren.
