Obituary of Mary F. Wallace

Mary Wallace, age 91, of Clarksville, died Tuesday, January 24, 2012, at Clarksville Nursing Center. She was born in Red River County on March 2, 1920, to Michael and Donnie Wallace. Mary worked for Duke & Ayers until it closed. She continued working at the Carousel until retirement. She also volunteered at the Red River County Chamber of Commerce and was a longtime member of the McKenzie Memorial United Methodist Church, where she loved fellowship, friends and the Bible study classes. She was preceeded in death by 3 brothers and 3 sisters. Survivors include a niece, Sybil Lunsford and husband James Andrew; her great-nephew, James Michael Lunsford and his wife Faith; 2 great-great nieces, Brandes Kelly Bodiford and husband Ryan and Ashly Lunsford Saldana and husband Steve; and 2 great-great-great nieces, Kayla Chere and Marlee Michael. Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m., Friday, January 27, 2012, in Lindeman Chapel of Clarksville Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry Colgrove officiating. Burial will folllow in White Rock Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home. Pallbearers are: Paul Allen, Scott Mahlstedt, Bill Hale, Ben Black, T.J. Higgins and W.F. (Babe) Higgins The family would like to thank all her caregivers, particulary Lori Gaines, all the staff at Clarksville Nursing Center, the hospice care, ETMC, Dr. Muthappa, Reverand Jerry Colgrove and Helen Pryor, her close friend.
