Obituary of Lauragene Smith

Lauragene Webb Smith, age 78, of Avery, passed away January 20, 2012, in Sunny Acres Nursing Home in DeKalb. Mrs. Smith was born in Red River County on July 25, 1933, the daughter of John and Flossie Hardman Webb. She was a homemaker and member of the Avery United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leon Smith, her parents and one brother. Survors include her sons, Don Smith and wife Cynthia of Avery, Keith Smith and wife Bonnie of Lubbock, a grandson, Jacob Smith of Avery and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Graveside funeral services are planned for Tuesday, January 24, 2012, at 11 a.m. in Avery Cemetery with Rev. Carl Sterling officiating.
