Obituary of Sarah Woods

Sarah Woods, age 73, of Clarksville, passed away Wednesday, December 28, 2011, at Regency Healthcare and Rehab Center. Sarah was born December 7, 1938, in the Manchester Community to Herman and Madeline Greer Draper. She was a homemaker for most of her life and a faithful member of the Shiloh Cumberland Presbyterian Church. She is preceded in death by her sister, Mary Cain. She and her husband enjoyed working on the family farm in the Madras Community. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Bill Woods of Clarksville; 2 daughters, Mary Jo McGill and husband, Bill of Clarksville and Barbara Champe and husband Steve of Clarksville; 1 brother, Butch Draper and wife Evelyn of Clarksville; her grandchildren, Mark McGill, Matt McGill, Elizabeth Champe, Chasidy Champe and Cody Champe; and 1 great grandchild, Tanner McGill. Funeral services are set for 11:00 a.m., Friday, December 30, 2011, in Lindeman Chapel of Clarksville Funeral Home with Rev. Peggy Rounseville and Jack Holt officiating. Burial will follow in Madras Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home. Pallbearers are Mark McGill, Jamie McGill, Matt McGill, Deanna McGill, Ford Crane and Stephanie Crane. Honorary Pallbearers are Elizabeth, Casidy and Cody Champe and Roy Watson. The family will receive friends an hour before service time at the funeral home.
