Obituary of Charles Dryden

Charles Dryden, age 69 of Clarksville, passed away, Saturday, February 13, 2010 at Regency Healthcare Center. Charles was born September 12, 1940 in Red River County to Bill and Viola Sweeden Dryden. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and was of the Baptist faith. His parents; four brothers, Dink Dillard, James Dryden, Donnie Dryden and J.C. Dryden; and a sister, Frances Pace preceded him in death. Survivors include a daughter, Nicole Carter of Cleburne; four sisters, Inez Stringer of Clarksville, De Dell Mowery of Clarksville, Brenda Sears of Queen City and Mildred Whitescarber of Leigh High Acres, Florida; two grandchildren; sisters-in-law; and brothers-in-law. Funeral services are scheduled for 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 16, 2010 in Lindeman Chapel of Clarksville Funeral Home with Rev. Ron Kellam officiating. Burial will follow in Aikin Grove Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home. The family will receive friends Monday night from 6 to 7 at Clarksville Funeral Home. Pallbearers are Junior Greer, Randy Posey, James Posey, Larry Don Ervin, Richard Fryar and Sammy Faulkner. Honorary Pallbearers are Dennis Dryden, Gary Raulston, Cliff Sears and John Mowery.
