Obituary of Billy Wayne Smith

Billy Wayne Smith, age 75, of Garland, Texas, formerly of Red River County, died in Garland Tuesday, December 20, 2011 at his residence. Billy Wayne was born November 7, 1936, in Red River County to D. and Essie Parker Smith. He was married to Margaret Prewitt Smith for fifty four years. He was preceded in death by a son, Leonard D. Smith, his parents and a sister, Madeline Young. He is survived by his wife, of the home; one son, Russell and wife, Tina Smith of Rockwall; one daughter, Donna and husband Richard Masterson of Athens; one grandson, Anson Tyler Smith; one sister, Beulah and husband, Rex Rolfs of Mustang, Oklahoma, and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services are set for 10 a.m. Friday, December 23, at the Eastern Hills Baptist Church, 4406 Broadway Boulevard, Garland, Texas, with Dr. David Hall and Rev. Ron Kellam officiating. Graveside services will be at 4 p.m. in New Haven Cemetery in Clarksville under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home.
