Obituary of Kenneth Nelson Webb

Kenneth N. Webb, Jr., age 80, of Avery, went to be with his Lord on Thursday, December, 15, 2011, at his residence. Mr. Webb was a retired Aircraft Mechanic. Mr. Webb was born February 1, 1931, in Globe, Arizona to Kenneth and Margaret Belle Schaeffer Webb, Sr. He was a member of the Spirit of Life Church in Boxelder. He was preceded in death by 4 sibilings and 1 grandson. After serving 5 years in the Navy he met Betty Ward in Wichita, Kansas and they married on November 20, 1956. In 1960 they moved to San Antonio to continue working on airplanes. He worked for Dee Howard, Swearingen and Fairchild during his thirty years at the SAIA. He retired to Avery in 1991. Ken answered to different names including: “Honey” who is leaving a hole in the heart of Betty, his wife of 55 years. “Dad” will be missed by his children. “Grandpa” will be remembered by his 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. “Brother Webb” will be missed by his fellow believers in Christ. “Kenny” will be remembered by his co-workers. Ken was a strong and dedicated man to his family, his faith and his work. His faith in God was unbreakable and his willingness to help anyone in need was his way of using the talents God gave him. Ken’s work ethic, can do attitude and tireless energy encouraged others around him to do their best. With all that he could and would do for others, he never wanted recognition or cared if they knew his name. Family was important to him and love was often communicated by his sense of duty to family. God has taken a man among men to be with him in glory and his rewards will be great. Survivors include his wife, Betty Ward Webb of Avery; 2 sons, Kenneth Webb of Avery and Steven Webb of Junction; 1 daughter, Denise Webb of Avery; 1 step-daughter, Jo Ella Bolar of Idaho; 11 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren.
