Obituary of Carroll Ray McDowell

Carroll Ray McDowell of Dallas, formerly of Red River County, passed away, Wednesday, February 10, 2010 at his residence. Carroll was born January 20, 1941 in Clarksville to Roy Lee and Oma Lydia Melton McDowell. He married Frances Joyner in 1958. He was the owner of Carroll’s Plumbing Company and of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Derrell Mack McDowell and a sister, DeLoyce Nichols. Survivors include his wife of the home; his sons, Johnny, David and Billy McDowell; his daughter, Lola McDowell; and his brothers, Billy and Bobby McDowell; 9 grandchildren; and 3 great grandchildren. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Sunday, February 14, 2010 in Lindeman Chapel of Clarksville Funeral Home with Rev. James Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home. Serving as Pallbearers are Johnny McDowell, David McDowell, Billy McDowell, Ricky McDowell, Donnie McDowell, Brandon McDowell and Jeff Wachowiak.
