Obituary of Bettie Pace
Bettie Marie Webster Pace, age 83, of Clarksville, passed away, Sunday, September 25, 2011, at Clarksville Nursing Center.
Bettie was born March 30, 1928, in the McCrury Community of Red River County to A.L. “ Aud” and Eddie Burnice Roddy Webster. She married Selby Hays Pace on November 11, 1955 and he preceded her in death on May 14, 1994. Bettie owned Pace’s Fashions and was office manager for the Red River County Water Supply Corporation for 5 years. She was a member of the Eastside Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her husband and two sisters, Hattie Abernathy and Della Pearl Webster.
She is survived by two children, Selby Don Pace of Clarksville and Susan George and husband Eddie of Clarksville; her grandchildren, Brent Kelty of Houston, John Kelty of Hampton, Virginia, Laura Kelty of Paris and Shane Pace of Clarksville; and one great grandchild, Makenzie; 15 nephews and nieces and a host of great nieces, great nephews and cousins; and very special friends, Donnie and Bill Whiteman, Bernita Crawford and Dorothy Terry.
Funeral services are scheduled for 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 28, 2011, in Lindeman Chapel of Clarksville Funeral Home with Bill Whiteman officiating. Burial will follow in Madras Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home.
Pallbearers are Wayne Whiteman, Dan Stanley, Van Stanley, Luis Trujillo, Scott Taylor, Calvin Reed and R.C. Crawford, Jr.
Memorials may be made to the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure or the charity of your choice.
