Obituary of Robert Blake Christophersen

Robert Blake Christophersen, age 20, of Clarksville, passed away Friday, August 19, 2011, north of Clarksville. Blake was born March 7, 1991, in Mt. Pleasant, Texas. He was a member of the McKenzie Memorial United Methodist Church. Blake was a hard worker and was working for Lennon Custom Hay Baling. He loved everything about the outdoors and was dedicated heart and soul to his family, friends and his hunting dogs, and he was also an avid dancer. Most of all he was a wonderful, loving son and will be missed by all. Blake graduated from Avery High School in 2009 and received his Mapping Technology and Surveying Certificate from Tyler Junior College in May of this year. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Sonny Phelps; his great grandparents, John and Margaret Peer, Mureline Cheyne, J.D. and Maggie Butler, Lem and Beulah Phelps and Clarence and Lulu Christophersen. Funeral services are 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, August 23, 2011, in Lindeman Chapel of Clarksville Funeral Home with Rev. James Brown and Rev. Jerry Colgrove officiating. Burial will follow in Jackson Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home. Pallbearers are Chay Phelps, Cooper Christophersen, Layne Lindeman, Brook Lennon, Kyle Lennon, Ryan Schuessler, Payton Hutchison, Luke Smith, Brandon Phelps, Matthew Phelps and Russell Hayes. Honorary Pallbearers are the Avery High School Class of 2009, Skylar Lawing, Hunter and Keith Westbrook. The family will receive friends Monday night from 5 to 7 at Clarksvillle Funeral Home. Survivors include his parents, Rhonda and Shannon Jeans of Clarksville and Cynthia Moran and Clay Christophersen of Clarksville; his grandparents, Wilma Phelps of Avery, Bob and Marlene Christophersen of Bogata and Dempsey and Betty Jeans McGregor of Annona; his great grandfather, O.T. Cheyne of Boxelder; his sisters, Bridget Hayes and husband Russell, Lauren Jeans and Haley Christophersen; a nephew, Kacen Hayes; his aunts and uncles, Alan and Judy Phelps of Vinemont, Alabama, Anthony and Betty Phelps of Avery, Greg Phelps of Avery, Riley and Terrie Christophersen of Clarksville, Jay and Lori Smith of Boxelder and Buck and Terri Smith of Detroit; his cousins, Cooper and Payton Christophersen, Ashely Kelsoe, Brandon Phelps, Sara Phelps, Matthew Phelps, Allison and D.J. Antonacci, Luke Smith, Heather Smith, Kristi and Sam Bryant, Tatum Merritt, Brody Bryant, Zane Kelsoe, Haden McClanahan and Weston Phelps.
