Obituary of Fannie Tucker

Fannie Tucker, age 93, of Bowie, formerly of Annona, passed away Wednesday, August 10, 2011, in a Wichita Falls Hospital. Mrs. Tucker was born August 19, 1917, in Avery to George and Eliza Nicks. She married Bennie Tucker February 26, 1949, in Annona. Fannie worked at various production jobs during her life and also on the family farm. She loved cooking for her family and friends, gardening and sewing. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bennie Tucker; her parents, George and Eliza Nicks; her Brothers, Jennings, Frank and TG Nicks; and one sister, Hazel Peek. Survivors include a daughter, Georgia A. Stephens and husband Gene; two sisters, Donia McGregor and Effie Kelsoe; a brother, James Nicks; a grandson Stephen Messick and wife Jennifer; a granddaughter, Stacy Olson and husband Scott; great-grandchildren Madison and Tucker Messick, Jacob and Cory Olson; her Sisters-in-law Dovie Baird and Maggie Felts; Several nieces and nephews and special niece Jamie Huddleston and a special thanks to Independent Hall, neighbors and friends. Funeral Services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 13, 2011, in Lindeman Chapel of Clarksville Funeral Home with Rev. James Brown. Burial will follow in Savannah Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home. Pallbearers are Ricky Baird, Berney Huddleston, Marvin McGregor, Darrell McGregor, Mark Nicks and Anthony Tucker.
