Obituary of Wade Thompson Witmer

Wade T. Witmer, age 20, of Clarksville, died Saturday, July 23, 2011, near Blossom. Wade was born April 8, 1991, in Paris. He was a member of Leesville Baptist Church and graduated from Rivercrest High School in 2009. Wade was known as an avid wild hog hunter and will be missed by his family and friends. Funeral services are set for 2:00 p.m. Monday, July 25, 2011, at the First Baptist Church with Rev. Jimmy Ellis and Rev. James Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Warthan Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home. The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon from 4 to 6 at Clarksville Funeral Home. The family asks memorials be sent to the Warthan Cemetery Association, c/o Jerry Warthan, 2100 Stonehill CT, Arlington, Texas, 76012. Pallbearers are Dustin Stringer, Neil Mankins, Jeremy Mankins, Ben Glass, Dustin Brumley and Jerry Willis. Survivors include his parents, Michael and Chrissy Witmer of Clarksville; his great grandmother, Louise Warthan Proctor of Clarksville; his grandparents, Ernest and Kay Witmer of Clarksville and Guy and Janie Joyner of Austin; his aunts, Kayla and Robert Hall of Kanawha and Kristy and Doug Tyra of Red Oak; and his cousins, Keith and Katy Hall and Drew and Ian Tyra.
