Obituary of Charles Lamon

Charles Lamon, age 73, of Avery, Texas, passed away Saturday, June 11, 2011, at Titus Regional Medical Center in Mt. Pleasant. He was born June 16, 1937, Winthrop, Arkansas, to William and Viola Booth Lamon. He was retired from D & Z in Texarkana. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers and two sisters. Mr. Lamon is survived by his wife of 53 years, Edna Hodgson Lamon; two sons, Kenneth Lamon and spouse Kay, Avery, Texas, Lyn Lamon and wife Ruth of Victoria, Texas; four sisters, Patsy Lamon Guinn, Clarksville, Libby Baird, Lubbock, Joyce Lamon Bowman and Evelyn Lamon Melius of Ashdown, Arkansas, and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 14, 2011, at Woodmen Cemetey, DeKalb with the Reverend James Brown officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home.
