Obituary of Delura Hutson

Delura “Big Granny” Hutson, age 93, of Bagwell, passed away June 7, 2011, at her residence. Mrs. Hutson was born March 21, 1918, near Bagwell to Walter Clayton and Myrtle Hastings Lee. She was a homemaker, an avid quilter and a member of the Bagwell Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband Marion David Hutson, a grandson, James Badgett and two brothers, Troy and Doyle Lee. Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 p.m. Friday, June 10, 2011, in Lindeman Chapel of Clarksville Funeral Home with Rev. Karl Bush officiating. Burial will follow in Blanton Creek Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home. Pallbearers are Maxie Mills, Elder Mills, Mark Miller, Danny Miller, Paul Miller and Billy Winkle. Honorary Pallbearers are Louis Torres, B.J. Yeley and Brandon Beers. The family will receive friends Thursday night from 6 to 8 at Clarksville Funeral Home. Survivors include one son, David Hutson and wife Mary of Detroit; two daughters, Iva Badgett of Bagwell and Mot Cooper and husband Jackie of Bagwell; two sisters, Mable Henry and Juanita Hastings both of Bagwell; six grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren; and her beloved dog, Tippy.
