Obituary of Lydia Deaton Estes

Lydia Deaton Estes, age 83, of Avery, passed away Sunday, May 1, 2011, at her residence. Mrs. Estes was born November 7,1927, in Grayson County, Texas to Arthur and Arlene Dendy Deaton. She retired from Avery Insurance Agency, was a member of the Avery United Methodist Church and was past Matron and a 56 year member of the Avery Chapter # 252, Order of the Eastern Star. She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Marvin G. Estes; a sister, Glenda Edsall; and a sister-in-law, Maxine Deaton. Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 4, 2011, in Lindeman Chapel of Clarksville Funeral Home with Gary McCain and James Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Avery Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home. Eastern Star rites will be given by Avery Chapter # 252, Order of the Eastern Star. Survivors include her daughter, Carolyn Kimbriel of Avery; two brothers, William O. Deaton of Bolivar, Missouri and Tilmon M.Deaton and wife Marsha of Avery, Texas. Pallbearers are Brad Deaton, David Grigg, Anthony Tucker, Tommy Estes, Sammy Lambert and Duel Grigg. Honorary pallbearers are Joe Bearden, Ronald Braden, Bruce Duncan, Henry Freeman, Bill Eubanks and Benny Brazier. Memorials may be made to the Avery Cemetery Pavilion Fund, P.O.
