Tommy, I'm aware of the loss (Sam died in '03 )and also dissapointed that I was unable to show my respect an attend Birl's service Saturday. Sam thought the world of Birl & I espically remember the story of he & Birl (in their street cloths with bad shoes along with old worn out rackets) beat'in the two rich boys who were expected to go to district (dressed in their white outfits and new tennis rackets & shoes). Sam often spoke of how much he enjoyed those years because of Birl. In school I thought (you) Tommy were so ultra cool, for you could move from one click to another with perfect ease. The Jocks liked and respected you and so did the wild or for lack of a word 'greasers'? You were able to move thru or in any group. Bet that paid off for ya in some way later in life. I also remember that you were an 'A' -'B' student and honored at graduation. So I figure both Birl and Tommy were ' way to cool for school '. May our Graceful Lord protect and richly bless You and yours. Respectfully, Bill Steven Hale
