Obituary of Adell Humphrey

Adell McGuire Lampard Humphrey, age 95, of Clarksville, passed away Monday, March 21, 2011, at Regency Health Care Center. Mrs. Humphrey was born January 31, 1916 in Red River County to Thurman and Clara Baker McGuire. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands; Roscoe Lampard and U.D. Humphrey, one son; Earl Miron Lampard, a daughter; Peggy Sue Strange, a sister; Delorse Randolph, brothers; Dale, Doyle and Dalton McGuire, one grandson; Roger Lampard, sons-in-law; Paul Strange and Jack Kidd. Survivors include one son, Jerry Lampard and wife Carol of Clarksville; one daughter, Gloria Kidd of Denver City, Texas; grandchildren, Alan Kidd of Denver City, Tammy Kidd of Denver City, Pam Stout of Paris and Mona Lampard of Foulk, Arkansas and Yoni Bolton and husband Mike of Hobbs, New Mexico; a sister, Wanda Bullard of Clarkville; one brother, J.W. “Pete” McGuire of Hobbs, New Mexico; eleven great grandchildren; and 10 great-great grandchildren. Services are set for 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 23, 2011, in Lindeman Chapel of Clarksville Funeral Home with Rev. Eddie Slaton officiating. Burial will follow in Lone Star Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home. Pallbearers are Alan Kidd, Mathew Kidd, Kody Kidd, Jeremy Lampard, Zack Alvord and Jacob Nelems. Honorary Pallbearers are Ron Walker and Randy Christopher.
