Obituary of Willine L. McCullough

Willine LaNell Bearden McCullough, age 83, of Avery, passed away Friday, March 11, 2011, at Clarksville Nursing Center surrounded by loving family members. Mrs. McCullough was born November 28, 1927, in Red River County to Robert Francis and Dessie Webb Bearden. She married G.G. (Chubby) McCullough on December 12, 1946. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Avery. She was preceded in death by her parents, her cherished husband, Chubby, her sister, Rosine Bishop and her nephew, Charles Stanley. Survivors include three nieces, Paula Speir and husband Andy of Bogata; Edna Phelps and husband David of New Boston and Phyllis Stanley of Avery; one stepdaughter, Scottie Grimes and husband Jerry of Lehigh, Oklahoma; three step grandchildren, Cindy Reeves of Garland, Robert Grimes and Lavada Davis of Oklahoma; a number of great nieces, great nephews and step-great grandchildren. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Services will be at 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, March 13, 2011 in Lindeman Chapel of Clarksville Funeral Home with Rev. Harold Churchill and Rev. Michael Churchill officiating. Burial will follow in Gilliam Cemetery in Boxelder under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home. Pallbearers are David "Butch" Peek, Marvin Black, Jackie Meadow, Anthony Tucker and Ed Stephenson.
