Obituary of Pat Westfall

Olen “Pat” Westfall, age 95, of Clarksville, passed away, Tuesday, February 15, 2011, at ETMC. Mr. Westfall was born July 22, 1915 in the Sherry Community of Red River County to William and Willie Moore Westfall. He married Betty Meredith on July 1, 1950. She preceded him in death on June 29, 2005. He served in the the CCC’s, The Navy Sea Bees and played Semi-Pro Baseball in Arizona. He was a member and Deacon of the First Baptist Church and was also a member of Friendship Lodge # 16, A.F.& A.M., where he received his 50 year pin. He had worked for The Red River Arsenal, Cunningham Machine Shop and retired from Westinghouse. Survivors include a daughter, Patsy Boggs and husband Bill of Clarksville; a granddaughter, Laura Davis; a great granddaughter, India Davis; special friends, Fawna Boggs and husband Bill of Clarksville; Andrea Killian and husband Jason and their children, Alex and Kirk of Bogata; Brittney Crawford and husband David and their daughter, Kinsley of Clarksville; a sister in law, Clara Meredith of Clarksville; a brother in law, James Meredith; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 19, 2011, at the First Baptist Church with Rev. Mark Gossett officiating. Burial will follow in Harris Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home. Pallbearers are Don Eudy, Ernest Witmer, Jerry Conway, Johnny Drew, Scotty Hines and Jerry Luther. Honorary Pallbearers are the Deacons of the First Baptist Church. Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church, 1501 Captain Henry C.
