Obituary of Sonny Lemonds

Sonny Lemonds, age 58, of Pittsburg, passed away, Sunday, January 30, 2011, at East Texas Medical Center in Pittsburg. He was employed buy Big Tex Trailers and was the minister for Matinburg Baptist Church in Pittsburg. He was born November 11, 1952 to Millard Henry and Mollie Elizabeth Wilson Lemonds. He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Lemona Gail Lemonds and his second wife, Martha Foy Lemonds. Survivors include a son, David and wife Terry York of Royce City; four daughters, Felishia Kerley and husband Jeff of Paris, Amy Leija and husband Nick of Paris, Robin Newsome and husband David of Pittsburg and Stephanie Cravey and husband Carl of Leesburg; fourteen grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and a sister, Ethel Elrod and husband Top of Clarksville. Funeral services are 3:00 p.m. Thursday, February 3, 2011, in Lindeman Chapel of Clarksville Funeral Home with Rev. Randy Stracener and Rev. Gene Lee officiating. Burial will follow in Bethel Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home.
