Obituary of Mavis B Mcguire

Mavis Beulah Tackett McGuire, age 95, of Clarksville, died Saturday, January 15, 2011, in Clarksville Nursing Center. Mrs. McGuire was born December 4, 1915. in Glenwood, Arkansas to Joseph “Willie” And Minnie Stafford Tackett. She married Murry Lee “Pete” McGuire on September 15, 1935. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her daughters, Barbara Jean McGuire her Brothers, Relis, Stahl, Winfred and J. D. Tackett, her sisters, Pearl Farmer, Eddie Touchstone, Eula McGuire and Winnie Tackett. She is survived by two sons, Charles Ray and wife Jan McGuire of Markham, and Randy McGuire and wife, Cathy of Wylie; grandchildren, Lynn McGuire and wife Marilyn, Jackie Grissett and husband Danny, Bobby McGuire and wife Glendora, Ricky Cheatwood and wife Sherri, Jeff Cheatwood and wife Mary Jane, Nicholas McGuire and Nathan McGuire; 11 great grandchildren; and 6 great-great grandchildren. Funeral services are set for 10 a.m. Monday, January 17, 2011, in Lindeman Chapel with Rev. James Brown officiating. Burial will follow in New Shamrock Cemetery under the Direction of Clarksville Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Charles Lynn McGuire, Ricky Cheatwood, Jeff Cheatwood, Nicholas McGuire, Nathan McGuire and Charles McClanahan.
