Obituary of Lillie O. Shelby

Funeral services for Lillie Ola Shelby, 89, of Edgewood, formerly of Red River County are scheduled for 2:00 P.M., Thursday, August 29, 2019, in Lindeman Chapel of Clarksville Funeral Home with Pastor Brandon Bachtel officiating.   Burial will follow in Tuggle Springs Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home.  Visitation will be an hour before service time at Clarksville Funeral Home. 

Lillie passed away Sunday, August 25, 2019, in Canton.

Lillie Ola Mullins was born December 29, 1929, in Red River Co., Texas to parents, Elvis Sanford Mullins and Thelma Jones Mullins. She was raised in Negley and graduated from Dimple High School. Lillie married B.A. Shelby in Red River County on April 23, 1949. She was a homemaker and lived most of her life in Edgewood. Lillie was of the Baptist faith.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Bernard A. Shelby; parents, Elvis and Thelma Mullins; son, Carl Wayne Shelby; brother, William Porter Mullins and brother-in-law, Roy Dean Mabry.

Lillie is survived by her daughter, Donna Kines and husband, Howell of Edgewood; sister, Martha Childress and husband, Douglas of Idabel, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Amy Shelby, Asa Shelby, Fannie Knox and husband, Paul, Shelby Hodges and husband, Matt, and Shayne Kines and Jamie Maxwell; great grandchildren, Justin Shelby and wife, Audrey, Luke Phillips, Blake Shelby, Alex Phillips, Lillie Hodges and Isabella Shelby; one great-great grandchild, Carl Shelby.
