Obituary of Doris Troxell Storey

Doris “Dot” Troxell Storey, age 87, of Avery, passed away Monday, June 24, 2019, at Focused Care of Clarksville.

Doris was born April 22, 1932, in Clarksville to Scott and Minnie Compton Troxell.  Dot was a retired nurse and nursing home administrator.  She was a member of Williams Chapel United Methodist Church.  Preceding her in death by her parents; husband, Ben Bryant Storey; her son, Ben Ray Storey; her daughter, Donna Harp and her siblings, Junior Troxell, Evelyn Garner and Geneva Jewell.

There will be no formal visitation.

Graveside services are set for 10:00 a.m. Friday, June 28th, 2019, in English Cemetery with Rev. Don Shovan officiating.  Burial is under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home.

Survivors include her daughter Nancy Storey Hendley and husband, Robert of English Community; son, Byron Storey and wife, Janet of Moore Haven, Florida; son-in-law, Ronnie Harp and daughter-in-law, Paula Storey of English.

Serving as pallbearers are John Gray, John Moore, Devin McEwin, Trey Puckett, Kody Gray, Kevin Gray and Chris Vaughan.
