Obituary of Kenneth Vernon Martin

Kenneth Martin age 74, of the Lone Star Community, passed away, Monday, June 10, 2019, at his residence.

Kenneth was born April 22, 1945, in Ventura, California to Howard and Edith Cunningham Martin.  He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Howard Martin and grandson, Brandon Martin.

The family will receive friends one hour before service time at Clarksville Funeral Home.

Funeral services are set for 2:00p.m. Sunday, June 16, 2019, in Lindeman Chapel of Clarksville Funeral with Rev. Don Shovan officiating.  Burial will follow in Lone Star Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home.

Survivors include his wife Sheila Childres Martin of Lone Star Community; 2 sons, Curtis G. Martin and wife, Sharon of Deltona, Florida, and Vernon W. Martin and wife, Luz of Clarksvile; 1 daughter, April Purdue of Mooresville Indiana; 2 sisters, Ida Kischnick and husband, Charles of San Antonio and Dorothy Clark and husband, Glen of La Pine, Oregon; his brother, Hugh Creech and 3 grandchildren, Carmen Downs, Tyler Purdue and Owen Purdue.

Serving as pallbearers are WH Elrod, Wade Powell, Perry Hunt, Matthew Childres, Payton Childres and Michael Johnson.
