Obituary of Josie Marie Browning

Josie Marie “Dodie” Browning, age 66, of Ector, passed away, Thursday, May 23, 2019, at her residence.  Dodie was born, March 24, 1953, in Avery to Levi “Sonny” and Dorothy Wall Sessums.  Her father; brother, William L. Larry Sessums; and a son, Christopher Browning preceded her in death.

Graveside services are set for 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 28, 2019, at Avery Cemetery with Rev. Deanie Lambert officiating.  Burial will follow under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home.

Survivors include her husband of 32 years, Jerry Simpson, mother, Dorothy Wall Sessums, sons, Timothy Browning of Ector and Justin Browning and wife, Lisa of Clarksville; her sisters, Joyce Butler of Avery and Kay Harper of Paris; her daughter-in-law, Wendy Browning; and nine grandchildren.
