Obituary of Flora Bell Jackson

Flora Bell Jackson, age 102, of Avery, passed away Monday, April 22, 2019, at Clarksville Nursing Center.

Flora Bell was born January 11, 1917, in Avery to Edgar and Ruthie Dennison McPeak.  She enjoyed gardening and sewing in her pastime.  She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Avery.  Her favorite saying was, “use it up, wear it out, make it do or do without.” She loved her friends and family, especially her grandchildren.  Preceding her in death are her parents; her husband, Buster Jackson; her son, Jerry Jackson and 7 siblings.

The family will receive friends on hour before service time Wednesday, April 24, 2019, at Clarksville Funeral Home.

Funeral Services are set for 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 24, 2019, in Lindeman Chapel of Clarksville Funeral Home with Rev. Deanie Lambert officiating.  Burial will follow in Avery Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home.

Survivors include her 3 sons, Leonard Jackson and Carol Stanton of Powderly, Murray Jackson and wife, Sue of Paris and Roy Jackson and wife, Sherry of Avery; her daughter-in-law, Regina Jackson of Avery; her sister, Velma Chapman of Avery; 9 grandchildren, Russell, Wesley, Carla, David, Janee, Jerid, Joel, Brian and Darla Jackson; 18 great grandchildren and 12 great-great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the First Baptist Church of Avery or a charity of your choosing.
