Obituary of Eva Jeffers

Eva LaVern Jeffers, age 86, of Bagwell, passed away Saturday, April 6, 2019, at Clarksville Nursing Center. Mrs. Jeffers was born, September 21, 1932, in the Blakeney Community of Red River County to Ben and Vivian McDonald Abbott.  She was a member of the Leesville Baptist Church. Mrs. Jeffers loved the Lord first and foremost and her family.  She is her family’s Hero of Faith.  Mrs. Jeffers enjoyed gardening; working in her flower beds, bird watching, painting and you could always hear her whistling and yodeling.  She had a servant’s heart and was  a joy to be around.  Her parents and two brothers, Royce Abbott and Earl Abbott preceded her in death.

Funeral services are set for 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 10, 2019, in Lindeman Chapel of Clarksville Funeral Home with Rev. Gabriel Jones officiating.  Burial will follow in Tuggle Springs Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends an hour before service time at Clarksville Funeral Home.
